Terminology

Plane: Surface generated by a straight line.

Edge: A line at which two surfaces of an object meet.

Altar Ego: Another aspect of one's self.

Abstract: Expressing a quality apart from any specific object.

Non-Representational: Not resembling any object in nature.

Anthropomorphic Abstraction: The use of abstracted elements to portray a human-like form.

Geometric Abstraction: The use of geometric forms to create abstraction.

Mask: A covering for all or part of the face.

Low Relief: Relief sculpture where figure projects slightly from background.

High Relief: Relief sculpture where volumes are strongly projected from background.

In The Round: Curved like part of a circle.
